Cosa rappresenta la Svizzera per te?

La Svizzera è un paese che non conoscevo. La Svizzera rappresenta ancora un modello composito di storia e integrazione. Gli svizzeri che conosco mi pare ne siano consapevoli. È un’interessante rappresentazione di integrazione. La Svizzera è il paese dove vivo, dove ho scelto di vivere e dove potrei vivere per molto tempo. Mi ha dato opportunità ed esperienza.

Cosa rappresenta l’Italia per te?

L’Italia è una lotta. È una forma ancora in divenire. Non ci tornerò a vivere per molto tempo. La sento come il mio paese, ma non sono parte di esso. Al contrario, quando torno in Sicilia, sì! È il mio humus culturale: un benessere psicofisico, il dialetto, la memoria, i ricordi. La Sicilia è l’unico posto dove vivrei in Italia.

What does Switzerland mean to you?

Switzerland is a country I did not know about. Switzerland still represents a composite model of history and integration. The Swiss I know are aware of that. It is an interesting representation of integration. Switzerland is the country where I live, where I have chosen to live, and where I could live for a long time. It has given me opportunities and experience.

What does Italy mean to you?

Italy is a struggle. It is a form still in the making. I will not live there again for a long time. I feel as if it is my country, but I am not part of it. On the contrary, when I return to Sicily, yes! It is my cultural humus: psychophysical well-being, the dialect, the memory. Sicily is the only place where I would live in Italy.
