La Svizzera rappresenta equilibrio. In Svizzera si rinuncia ad alcune cose, ma si arriva ad un equilibrio. Quando ci vivevo, l’Italia era sempre una coperta troppo corta.

L’Italia è una roba bella alla quale non bisogna attaccarsi troppo perché altrimenti ci si perde tante altre cose. L’Italia è un po’ come un elastico: tu ci vai e ti tira e ti attacchi alle cose belle da cui è difficile staccarsi. È una cosa strana, molto conflittuale.

Switzerland represents balance. In Switzerland, you give up some things, but you arrive at a balance. When I lived there, Italy was always a blanket too short.

What does Italy mean to you?

Italy is a beautiful thing that you mustn’t get too attached to because otherwise you miss out on so many other things. Italy is a bit like a rubber band: you go there and it pulls you and you get attached to the beautiful things from which it is difficult to detach yourself. It’s a strange thing, very conflicting.
